Activating 2FA significantly enhances your account security by ensuring that even if someone else obtains your password, they won’t be able to access your account without the verification code sent to your phone. It's a simple yet effective way to protect your account from potential threats.
How to enable 2FA on Pets4Homes
- Log in to your account:
- Start by logging into your Pets4Homes account using your email and password.
- Go to your profile settings:
- Once logged in, navigate to your profile by clicking on your username or profile icon, usually located in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication:
- In the settings menu, look for the “Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)” option.
- Click on the toggle or button to enable 2FA.
- Verify your phone number:
- You’ll be prompted to enter your mobile phone number.
- After entering your number, you’ll receive a verification code via SMS.
- Enter this code in the provided field to complete the setup.
Important notes
- For breeder accounts: 2FA feature is available for breeder accounts.
- For email logins only: The 2FA feature we’ve introduced is specifically for those who log in using their email and password. If you log in via Facebook, Apple, or Google, these platforms have their own 2FA options that you can enable separately.
- Optional but recommended: While 2FA is optional, we highly recommend enabling it to keep your account secure.
