Listing packages
At Pets4Homes, our number one priority is the safety of the pets and people on our platform. By maintaining a fee for adverts, we continue to improve animal welfare standards, invest in moderation and innovation, and discourage low-welfare breeders who try to exploit our platform.
When you publish a listing on Pets4Homes, you have to choose a package to get it live. Your package determines the features your advert includes for the full 60 days it is live.
There are three packages to choose from:
Basic
Everything you need to list your litter. Your advert is live for 60 days with standard visibility in search results. The Basic package is the same price as the previous listing fee.
Advanced
To stand out from the crowd. Advanced includes everything in Basic, plus:
- Image gallery in search results: buyers can browse multiple photos without clicking into your advert
- Daily bumps: your listing is automatically moved to the top of search results once every 24 hours
Pro
For maximum visibility.
- Includes everything in Advanced, plus
- Video playback in search results: buyers can watch your video directly from the search page (videos must be uploaded directly to your listing, not linked from YouTube)
- Longer daily bumps: extended time at the top of search results each day
- Priority placement in favourites: your listing always appears at the top when buyers check their saved favourites
Choosing your package
You select your package at checkout when you publish your listing. All prices are shown before you confirm. Fixed price, no surprises.
Boosts
Boosts are an optional extra that promotes your listing to the very top of search results for a set period of time. You can add a boost to any active listing, regardless of which package you chose.

Boost sizes
Boosts apply for different periods of time:
- Small (S) - 3 days
- Medium (M) - 7 days
- Large (L) - 15 days
Boost effects
When you boost your listing, you get three effects:
- Bump: Your advert is automatically moved to the top of search results once every 24 hours for the duration of the boost. How quickly your advert falls back depends on your location, breed popularity, and search filters.
- Highlight: Your advert displays extra photos and a boost badge, making it stand out in search results. It is also placed in the top section of search results.
- Boost section: Your advert is featured in a dedicated boost section at the top of search results with a boost star.
How to boost
For a new advert: You can add a boost during checkout, after selecting your package.
For an existing advert:
- Go to the advert on the website and click "Boost this advert." You will be redirected to the boost page.
- Or go to "My Adverts" in your account and click "Boost" on the advert you wish to promote.
How are boost prices determined?
We apply variable pricing on boosts, meaning the price differs depending on the type of pet you advertise. This approach ensures fair prices and makes boosts accessible across all categories. The price is always shown before you confirm.
Combining boosts with packages
If you pair a boost with an Advanced or Pro package, your listing gets promoted to the top of search results twice a day (approximately 12 hours apart), helping you reach buyers in both the morning and evening.
Listings on the Basic package (or older listings without a package) with a boost are bumped once per day, as standard.
If you already have a boost running and purchase another, it extends the duration of your existing boost. The frequency stays the same.
Instant bumps
Instant bump gives your live advert an immediate push to the top of search results. Unlike boosts (which run over multiple days), an instant bump takes effect the moment you purchase it.
How does instant bump work?
- Immediate visibility: The moment you purchase instant bump, your ad moves to the very top of the search results feed, right under the featured boosted ads.
- Works with boosts: If you already have a boost active, instant bump stacks on top of it. You get the benefits of both.
- Multiple purchases: You can buy as many instant bumps per day as you like. Every time you purchase one, your ad goes back to the top.
- No fixed duration: Your advert stays at the top until new adverts are posted or another seller also uses instant bump.

- Go to My Adverts
- Find your active ad and click the "Bump" button
- Select a payment method and confirm
How are instant bump prices determined?
We use variable pricing for instant bump, based on the type of pet you are advertising. This ensures fairness and accessibility across all categories. The price is always shown before you confirm.
Earning free instant bumps
You can earn free instant bumps by using Pet Payments. Every time someone purchases one of your pets using Pet Payments, you are automatically rewarded with a free instant bump. Extra visibility at no cost to you!
Troubleshooting
Is my advert boosted?
- In "My Adverts," a boosted listing displays a boost badge and a boost star.
- On the advert details page, you will see the boost badge under the bottom-left corner of the image gallery.
Can I change my boost time?
It is not possible to manually select or change the time your listing is bumped each day. Bumps are applied automatically, approximately every 24 hours (or every 12 hours if your listing has an Advanced or Pro package with a boost).
If you want to change the time your boost bumps happen, wait for your current boost to expire, then purchase a new one shortly before your preferred time.
Tip: If you purchase a boost before your listing is published, there may be a delay while your advert is in the pending queue. We recommend waiting until after your listing is live to apply the boost.
I can't find my boosted advert in search results
How quickly your advert moves back in the results depends on your location, distance, breed popularity, and filters applied by buyers. Try adjusting your search filters and checking past the first page of results.
